Why I Started Exalt Growth

The playbook that built most B2B SaaS companies' organic presence over the last decade is breaking. Not slowly. Rapidly. And most companies don't realize it yet because their dashboards still show traffic from a search ecosystem that's fundamentally shifting underneath them.

I know this because I watched it happen from the inside.

The Pattern I Kept Seeing

Before founding Exalt Growth, I spent years embedded inside two of the fastest growing SaaS companies in Australia and the US.

At Cascade, I was employee number 24 and the second person on the marketing team, hired directly by the COO. Over the next chapter, we grew organic traffic by 670%, built 700+ new top 3 keyword rankings, and expanded referring domains 16x. Cascade raised a $40M Series A during that period.

At Dovetail, I joined the inaugural growth marketing team after their $89M Series A. The results were even more dramatic: 878% organic traffic growth, 3x MRR, 9x referring domains, and 4,800+ new top 3 rankings across the board.

In both companies, the strategy wasn't content volume. It wasn't keyword stuffing or chasing vanity metrics. It was systems thinking. We built entity architecture, layered semantic depth, and invested in technical foundations that compounded over time.

But here's what changed everything for me.

The Shift No One Was Talking About

While I was driving traditional SEO results, a parallel search ecosystem was emerging. ChatGPT started answering buyer questions. Perplexity began citing sources directly. Google launched AI Overviews that synthesize answers before anyone clicks a link.

Suddenly, "ranking #1" didn't mean what it used to. Your SaaS could own the top position on a Google SERP and still be invisible to the fastest growing segment of search behavior: AI assisted discovery.

I realized the companies that would win the next decade wouldn't just optimize for search engines. They'd need to become the default entity that large language models reference, cite, and recommend. That meant rethinking SEO from the ground up.

What Exalt Growth Is

Exalt Growth is the agency I wish existed when I was running growth inside those SaaS companies.

We build entity first SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) systems for B2B SaaS companies from Seed through Series C.
